Not so long ago, it belonged to the popular Italian cruise company Costa Cruises, and was called Costa neoRomantica. In winter 2012, Costa Cruises carried out a complete renovation of the Costa neoRomantica liner. The neo- prefix was added only after the ship was improved. Large-scale changes affected not only the performance of the vessel, but also the external and internal appearance. Thus, more external cabins with balconies appeared on the ship, and the theater in the bow was replaced by a huge spa center. In 2020, Celestyal Cruises purchased the ship, renovated it, and gave the ship a new name - Celestyal Experience. In 2021, the liner first began its cruises under the flag of Celestyal Cruises.
