New cruise company!?08.09.2022 14:47
CFC is not an abbreviation of some state structure, but a new French cruise company Compagnie Francaise De Croisieres!

At the moment, the cruise company owns one liner, which was purchased from Holland America Line. It was called Maasdam. After a complete renovation, the liner entered the CFC fleet with the new name Renaissance.

CFC President Clément Mousset stated: "Our position in the market today is empty," "Ponant is the leader in luxury cruising, some international lines offer core products (sold in France), but we offer a premium cruise product."

From his words, one can understand that the new cruise company will be focused on French citizens who prefer Premium class cruises. This is also confirmed by the words of the chief operating officer of the company - Cédric Rivoire-Perrochat: "all cruises will start from the French ports of residence."

The ship will start operating in February 2023. Initially, the route will start from the port in Le Havre, and in September the liner will depart for Marseille.

Most cruises will be between 10 and 15 nights, with a few shorter voyages and a world cruise leaving early 2024.

As for the Renaissance cruise ship, the former Maasdam was originally renamed Aegean Myth. The ship was last overhauled in 2018 and was delivered between 2020 and 2022 as part of the Seajets cruise fleet (as part of several liners that were purchased from various cruise companies and were stationed in Greece).

Consultation on any issues

The ship accommodates approximately 1258 guests based on double occupancy. Also on the liner will be presented 100 cabins for single occupancy at no additional charge.

It is tentatively planned that the preparation of the vessel for operation, as well as some upgrades, will cost approximately 10 million euros.

The cruise ship will soon leave Greece. The first important step will be to change the flag of the liner to French. Renaissance's naming ceremony is scheduled for February in Le Havre ahead of its first cruise, due on February 10th.
