BARGE CRUISES
BARGE CRUISES
Barge cruises are a rather unusual type of vacation. During the journey, cruisers experience incredible gourmet cuisine, have the opportunity to sample and explore various local wines and cheeses, and are served by a wonderful team of professionals. Barge cruises are an opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities (walking or cycling along the paths along the river bank), as well as take individual excursions to castles, wineries, villages, open markets or other attractions in the regions.

Typically, these cruises depart on Sunday afternoon and return on Saturday morning. The price includes a cruise from the point of departure and back, as well as food, alcoholic drinks, an open bar, use of bicycles and guided tours. The only thing that is not included is the cost of air travel to Belgium or France and a minimum 5% tip for service personnel.

All of these ships have a wonderful and professional crew on board, providing excellent service, gourmet cuisine combined with fine regional wines and daily individual excursions, making a weeklong cruise holiday unique and unforgettable.

All barges run for about 4 hours every day. On a canal cruise, barges pass through a series of castles that often change altitude in the countryside. When the barge is raised or lowered, cruisers, if desired, can disembark and cycle to a nearby village or walk along the sidewalk as the barge continues to wriggle in front of the next castle or destination. Please note that bicycles are available on board all barges.
