20.02. THURSDAY - ARRIVAL TO MADEIRA.

21.02 FRIDAY - BREAKFAST IN THE HOTEL.

09.00 EXCURSION TO SANTANA WITH LUNCH (INCLUDED IN THE COST OF THE TOUR)

 

Full day excursion along the east coast of Madeira to Santana (starts at 09.00, ends at 17.00).

 

 

The excursion starts with a stop in the village of Camacha, where you can get acquainted with one of the traditional local crafts - willow weaving. Amazing decor items, delicate furniture and even a replica of the ship of the discoverers - all this awaits you at the local museum.

 

Then we begin the ascent to the highest point of the island, which can still be reached by car - Pico do Areeiro.

 

Having enjoyed the beauty of mountain landscapes, the indescribable whiteness of the clouds, settled right in the gorges, we continue our journey further. Ribeira Frio invites us to explore the trout farm, as well as take a short walk along the levada to the observation deck of the Balconies in a unique relic forest.

 

 

If desired, tasting ponche - a drink based on local rum. Santana meets and surprises us with its colorful architecture. Typical picturesque thatched houses are found here. From here we go to the very east of the island - Cape St. Lawrence, to see how different Madeira can be! A long stop is planned for Machico, the second largest city in Madeira. Today Machico attracts with its loose white beach. Free time for lunch and swimming.

 

 

22.02 SATURDAY - BREAKFAST IN THE HOTEL.

10.00 - HALF-DAY EXCURSION FOR FUNCHAL AND IN THE VALLEY OF MONAKHIN

 

Funchal is the main administrative and tourist center of Madeira. This city will fall in love with itself immediately and forever! The pavements and squares lined with basalt in a non-repeating ornament are a separate chapter in the history of the city's architecture.

 

In the center of the capital is the Se Cathedral, built in 1514. Behind it is the old town with its historic buildings and shops. Old Funchal is also the Sao Tiago fortress, built in 1614 to protect the city from pirates.

 

After walking in the center, we visit the local colorful market with exotic fruits, numerous varieties of freshly caught fish, outlandish flowers and vine handicrafts.

 

Then we climb one kilometer into the mountains to Eira do Serrado - an observation deck overlooking the Valley of the Nuns. Let it lie through stunning mountain landscapes. Here we taste chestnut liqueur (included in the price).

23.02 SUNDAY - BREAKFAST IN THE HOTEL. FREE DAY FOR REST AND SHOPPING

09.30 - EXCURSION FOR 8 HOURS OF PORTO MONIZ WITH LUNCH IN THE RESTAURANT (INCLUDED IN THE COST OF THE TOUR)

 

Full-day excursion along the west coast to Porto Moniz (starts at 09.30, ends at 17.00).

 

The fascinating route starts with a stop at Camara de Lobos, a typical fishing village that introduces us to the life and way of life of local fishermen.

 

The famous Henriques & Henriques Madeira wine factory is also nearby. Here you can taste both young and mature wines. The unique taste of 10 and 15-year-old wines will not leave you indifferent! (tasting is included in the price).

 

Crossing the island across through the village of Ribeira Brava, we are transported to the northern coast of the island in Sao Vicente, from where it is close to Port Monij. This village is famous for its natural pools formed by volcanic lava many millions of years ago. A stop for lunch and swimming in the pools is planned here.

 

 

After lunch we ascend to the Paul da Serra plateau (1500m above sea level) along a picturesque mountain road. Don't forget to take your cameras to capture the unique views of the mountain peaks among the white clouds! From the Encumeada viewpoint, you will enjoy amazing views of the southern and northern coasts of the island at the same time. Thanks to these breathtaking landscapes, as well as the fascinating story of the Russian-speaking guide, the tour is easy and effortless.

 

25.02 TUESDAY - BREAKFAST IN THE HOTEL.

 

SEA WALK ON THE CATAMARAN - A PLEASANT 3 HOUR WALK ON THE CATAMARAN. A REAL OPPORTUNITY TO SEE DOLPHINS, WHALE, SEA TURTLES. FABULOUS AND AMAZING ANGLES OF O. MADEIRA!

 

26.02 WEDNESDAY - BREAKFAST IN THE HOTEL.

We go to Santo da Serra - a favorite place of English aristocrats, a real gem in the center of the island. Here we will find an estate owned by the famous British family Blendy. But it is famous not only for its noble owners, but also for its wonderful garden. Plane trees, eucalyptus trees, camellia alleys, stunning views of the north coast - this is not just a banal visit to the garden - it is a real five-star walk. Peace and quiet framed by beauty !! Well, with a little romantic mood we continue our journey ...

 

Portela lookout point is another gem of the north coast ... ocean, cliffs and pretty village houses rising up green hills. There is no need to look for beauty here in Madeira, it is always there for you ...

 

The Porto da Cruz promenade looks like a real exquisite postcard ... the waves crashing at your feet, the dark cliffs, the beauty of the north coast, always a little harsher than the south, make this promenade walk an unforgettable experience.

27.02 THURSDAY - breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and flight home.
