The history of the liner begins in 2021, when the Carnival company planned to add the Costa Magica ship to its fleet. However, in 2023, Costa Magica was sold to Seajets Ferries and renamed Mykonos Magic. In April 2024, Seajets created its cruise brand "Neonyx Cruises" and renamed the liner "Goddess of the Night". After a dockside refit and refit in Canakkale, Turkey, Goddess of the Night became the first flagship of the new cruise company Neonyx Cruises.
