Norwegian Cruise Line is the first cruise line to stop using plastic beverage bottles.

 

All disposable plastic beverage bottles have been replaced with factory-made cardboard containers on board all Norwegian Cruise Line ships. As a result of this innovation, the cruise line will no longer use over six million disposable plastic water bottles per year!

 

This is made possible in partnership with JUST® Goods, Inc., a global leader in sustainable packaging.

 

All of these activities are part of the Sail & Sustain program, which is designed to protect the environment and minimize the emissions of plastic and other poorly recyclable items.

 

In 2018, Norwegian Cruise Line has already phased out the use of all plastic tubes on board all of its liners.

 

In addition, the cruise company plans to get rid of the use of disposable plastic bottles for shampoos, gels and other liquids.
