New ecological yacht12.02.2020 14:33
Microsoft founder Bill Gates is now the owner of an eco-friendly hydrogen fueled yacht. Sinot Aqua paid $ 644 million for the ship. Aqua has a futuristic design that was developed by a company from the Netherlands. The ship was presented for the first time last year at a show in Monaco.
The five-deck yacht reaches 112 meters in length. It is designed for 14 passengers and 31 crew members. Aqua is equipped with a swimming pool, helipad, spa and gym.
Liquid hydrogen, thanks to which the yacht develops a speed of 17 knots (32 km / h) and sails 3,750 kilometers without refueling, is located below decks in two vacuum-insulated tanks weighing 28 tons. The hydrogen, cooled to -253 ° C, interacts with oxygen to generate power for two one megawatt engines. The only thing that the yacht throws out is water.
