In response to the impact of the global COVID-19 outbreak and a recent order from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Princess Cruises is canceling all of its cruises until June 30, 2020. The cruise line previously announced a voluntary pause for two months (60 days), affecting cruises from March 12 to May 10, 2020.

 

In addition, Princess Cruises confirms changes for the Alaska season, which include the cancellation of all cruises and cruise tours in Alaska. Nevertheless, cruises from Seattle to Alaska will continue on the ships Emerald Princess and Ruby Princess.

We understand how frustrating this is for our long-term business partners and thousands of employees, many of whom have been with us in Alaska for decades, ”said Ian Swartz, President of Princess Cruises. “We hope that everyone affected by these cancellations - especially our guests, consultant partners, teammates and the communities we visit - understands our decision to do our part to protect the safety, health and well-being of our guests and team. We look forward to bright days and a calm sea for all of us. "

 

Princess Cruises offers two refund options:

 

- Guests booking cruises for these canceled dates and paying for them in full will receive Future Cruise Credit (FCC), the equivalent of 100% of the cruise fare paid and, as an additional bonus, 25% FCC. Guests must use their FCC on cruises with a departure date before May 1, 2022. Guests do not need to take any action to receive this offer and will be notified by email once the FCC is ready.

 

- Guests can receive a full refund of paid funds; this must be requested by May 31, 2020.
