The World Happiness Report is an international research project that measures the happiness of people around the world. The research is being conducted by Columbia University's The Earth Institute. The first such rating was prepared in April 2012 and is timed to coincide with the UN Conference on Happiness, which was held by the decision of the General Assembly.

 

The ranking takes into account such indicators of well-being as the level of GDP per capita, life expectancy, the presence of civil liberties, a sense of security and confidence in the future, family stability, job security, the level of corruption, as well as indirect indicators of the state of society, such as the level of trust, generosity and generosity.

 

The study was conducted at the end of 2019 and covers 156 countries:
