Countries are gradually recovering from the effects of the pandemic and are introducing "safe tourism" programs. Turkey became one of the first countries that announced the opening of the tourist season and the fulfillment of conditions for rest not only in comfortable but also in safe conditions.

 

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy will present the Safe Tourism Certification Program in Antalya on June 19 and will show the new conditions for recreation during the COVID-19 pandemic using several hotels as examples.

 

This was reported by Ukrinform's correspondent in Turkey.

 

“Due to the fact that our state took strict measures in the early stages of the pandemic, we successfully coped with this period. Now we are ready to start the tourist season on the country's coasts. After the restoration of domestic flights from June 1 and from June 10 - international, Turkey welcomes guests from abroad, "- said in the invitation to participate in the event.

 

The presentation will take place in Antalya from 19 to 21 June. It will be attended by ambassadors of 40 countries, as well as journalists, including foreign ones.

 

As reported, the Turkish Ministry of Tourism announced the certification of hotels at the end of April. The conditions for obtaining certificates are compliance with the requirements of disinfection and sanitization, social distancing, checking the health of personnel, providing personal protective equipment, installing thermal cameras and many other activities.

The document defining the requirements for certification consists of 132 points. It has separate sections like "guests arriving at the hotel", "security", "food and drinks", "fitness and spa", "animation salons", "pools and beaches", "delivery to hotels", " condition and isolation ”and others. Obtaining certificates is voluntary, but those who refuse this procedure will not be able to provide services to tourists.
