How can self-isolation be terminated early after returning from the countries of the "red" zone?24.07.2020 13:19
Many countries are already open for travel, but for most tourists, the issue of crossing the borders and, most importantly, what awaits travelers upon returning to Ukraine remains relevant.
The specifics of entering different countries for Ukrainians can be found here.
But what awaits us upon returning to Ukraine? Everything is very simple.
In Ukraine, an adaptive approach to self-isolation or observation has been introduced for Ukrainians and citizens of other countries arriving from abroad. According to the number of active cases of COVID-19 per 100 thousand population, countries are divided into 2 zones: "red" and "green". Countries of the "red" zone are those in which the number of active cases of COVID-19 is more than 55 per 100 thousand. This statistics is monitored by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and periodically updates the list of countries in a particular zone on its official website.
If you arrived in Ukraine from a country of the "green" zone:
self-isolation or observation / PCR test for COVID-19 is not required.
For foreigners arriving in Ukraine from the "green" zone, the same rule applies as for Ukrainians, but it is important to know that those arriving must have a health insurance certificate covering the treatment and monitoring of COVID-19. An insurance policy must be issued by a company registered in Ukraine or a foreign insurance company that has a representative office in Ukraine.
If you arrived in Ukraine from a country of the "red" zone:
Self-isolation or observation for 14 days after crossing the border awaits you.
* Observation or self-isolation cannot be replaced with a PCR test; it can only be terminated early if a negative PCR test for COVID-19 is obtained.
** The presence of a certificate of antibodies to COVID-19 does not exempt from the need to undergo testing for COVID-19 by PCR after crossing the state border or undergoing observation, if the tourist arrives from a country entering the "red" zone.
Algorithm for passing the PCR test and early termination of self-isolation through the application "Diy vdoma".
If a citizen of a country from the "red" zone, or a Ukrainian who returned from the "red" zone does not want to be on self-isolation for 14 days and wants to pass a PCR test to cancel self-isolation, he must adhere to the following rules:
1. Install the application "Diy vdoma" on your smartphone, indicating there your phone number and the place of self-isolation.
2. After crossing the border you have 24 hours to get to the place of self-isolation.
3. During these 24 hours there is an opportunity to pass a PCR test in a laboratory / clinic, which are indicated in the list of the Public Health Center (such a list can be found on the website of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine).
* Laboratories that are not listed do not have access to the system, and therefore cannot enter the test result to remove self-isolation.
4. During the test, it is necessary to provide the laboratory representatives with a phone number that is linked to the "Diy vdom" application and fill out a consent for data processing.
5. After passing the test, you need to go to the place of your self-isolation and indicate in the application that you have arrived at this location.
6. The test result will be ready within 24-48 hours after delivery.
7. Laboratory staff must independently transmit a negative test result to the electronic system of the Public Health Center, indicating the phone number that is linked to the application "Diy vdoma".
8. In turn, this system is automatically synchronized with the application "Diy vdom".
9. Thus, self-isolation is automatically canceled in the application.
It is important to know that the application "Diy vdoma" cannot be deleted during the entire stay in Ukraine.
Detailed information for everyone entering Ukraine can be found here.
The great news was that at the airports of Ukraine, namely in Boryspil, Lvov, Kharkov and Odessa, PCR test points were opened. Directly at the airport, the medical staff takes the analysis, after which they are sent for examination to the laboratory of the CSD company.
On July 16, a testing point was opened at the Lviv airport. The cost of testing is UAH 1,500 per person.
On July 17, it became possible to take a coronavirus test by PCR at Boryspil airport. Service cost - UAH 1500 per person.
From July 18, tests for COVID-19 began to be done at the Kharkov airport. The cost of services depends on the time of the tests. In the period from 8.00 to 21.59 - 1 800 UAH, from 22.00 to 7.59 - 2 100 UAH per person.
From July 21, and at the Odessa airport, it became possible to pass a PCR test for COVID-19. The cost of the service is 1500 UAH per person.
It is important to note that each country has its own border crossing rules. All the requirements described above relate only to crossing the borders of Ukraine, while other countries use their own criteria or schemes for dividing countries into zones to determine whether or not to enter.
