As many people know, unfortunately, from March of this year to the present day, the standard procedure for applying for a US tourist visa is temporarily unavailable.

 

But, despite the restrictions of the Embassy in issuing visas, in the context of a pandemic, people who have previously had a nonimmigrant visa, which ended no more than 1 year ago, have the opportunity to apply for a new visa of the same type. This procedure is called visa renewal, without an interview at the Embassy.

The good news is that recently, the Embassy has introduced temporary loyalty conditions for the visa renewal procedure, and now, applicants who want to get a new nonimmigrant visa of the same category, which expired less than 24 months ago (previously it was less than 12 months ), have the right to apply for a visa under the visa renewal procedure without an interview, in accordance with the requirements of the Embassy. This rule will be valid until 12/31/2020.
