Princess Cruises is adding more contactless technologies to their ships!07.12.2020 11:19
Princess Cruises has expanded its MedallionClass contactless technology to more ships in its fleet, preparing to resume cruises in 2021.
During a forced outage due to the global pandemic, Princess Cruises announced that it has upgraded several ships in its fleet to be compatible with MedallionClass technology.
The following liners have been refitted: Coral Princess, Diamond Princess, Emerald Princess, Grand Princess, Island Princess, Majestic Princess and Sapphire Princess. This means that the companies will now use OceanMedallion on all liners, with the exception of Pacific Princess, the smallest liner in the fleet.
By using OceanMedallion, a device that will replace the traditional in-flight card, to significantly expand the possibilities of contactless access and personalization on board ships.
OceanMedallion technology includes:
- contactless embarkation and disembarkation;
- contactless shopping on board;
- keyless entry to the cabin;
- Simplified training alert;
- MedallionNet - Faster Wi-Fi;
- delivery of food, drinks and goods upon request to anywhere on the liner.
