Costa Cruises resumes cruises!17.02.2021 15:41
The cruise company Costa plans to begin resuming cruises with a new itinerary program from 27 March on Costa Smeralda and from 2 May 2021 on Costa Luminosa. Cruise ships are ready to set sail again and offer their guests a cruise vacation with enhanced safety protocol.

The resumption of cruises will begin with the Costa Smeralda flagship and is scheduled to depart on 27 March. The liner will operate three- and four-day mini-cruises, as well as 7-day cruises with calls to the Italian ports of Savona, La Spezia, Civitavecchia, Naples, Messina and Cagliari.

From May 1, Costa Smeralda will continue to cruise in the Western Mediterranean with weekly routes and calling in Savona, Civitavecchia and Palermo, as well as Marseille, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca.

The second liner Costa Luminosa will resume operations on May 2 and will operate weekly cruises from Trieste and Bari, calling at the ports of Greece and Croatia.

The rest of the vessels will resume work in the period from late May to early June along the previously approved routes.

In collaboration with the authorities of the countries on the route of the liners, Costa has developed its own security protocols to maximize the protection of passengers from risks while traveling. According to the protocol, the operational response to Covid-19 includes limiting the occupancy of the liner, PCR testing of guests and crew members, temperature checks during disembarkation and re-boarding, guarded shore excursions, physical distancing on the liner and at cruise terminals, and , increased sanitary and hygienic requirements and an expanded list of medical services on board, the use of protective masks if necessary.

The rest of the cruises scheduled before the end of May will be canceled.
