Are cruises from the USA possible as early as May?
The administration of the new US President Joe Biden sees great prospects for the start of cruises in May 2021!
As we reported earlier:
Back in October, the CDC allowed cruises with some restrictions and requirements for passenger safety.
Cruise lines also received support from the US Senate.
* Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
According to a CNBC report, the Joe Biden administration expects to lift travel restrictions by mid-May 2021:
- to Mexico;
- Great Britain;
Also, other tourism destinations will be opened, including cruises to the United States.
* Most likely, we mean short cruises with calls to the ports of the United States and the Bahamas.
Given the information and general information provided in the report, it is safe to say that the limitations and recommendations of the CDC will be revised. The main factor for this is the fact that vaccination in the United States is proceeding at a fairly high rate. As a result, many cruise lines can handle cruises for guests who have received the COVID-19 vaccine without any problems.
As you know, already several liners of different cruise companies successfully make cruises in which no cases of illness have been registered. The newest and most innovative liner in the Royal Caribbean International fleet, Odyssey Of the Seas, will soon join these ships. He will cruise from the port of Haifa (Israel) for tourists who have made vaccines.
Albeit slowly, cruise travel is resuming, routes are getting more interesting, and ships are still being built!
