The Ministry of Tourism said the number of arrivals to the Maldives is currently 235,758 tourists. In total, more than 671 accommodation facilities with 45,225 beds are currently operating in the Maldives. According to statistics, an average of 3,230 travelers arrive in the Maldives daily, with an average length of stay of nine days.

India has emerged as the leading tourism market in the Maldives, followed by Russia, the UK, Ukraine, Germany, the USA and Kazakhstan which remain some of the main markets visiting the Maldives.
As a reminder, the Maldives opened borders to all nationalities from July 15, 2020.
All visitors are granted a 30-day free visa on arrival with a confirmed reservation to stay at any registered tourist site in the country. Although there is no mandatory quarantine or testing on arrival, tourists traveling to the Maldives must complete an online health declaration form and provide a negative PCR test taken at least 96 hours prior to their departure.
A negative PCR test result must be attached when completing the Traveler Health Declaration Form, which must be submitted online via IMUGA (www.imuga.immigration.gov.mv)
