Effective January 2, 2018, passengers on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises will be required to pay an additional $ 1.00 in service fees.

The new daily amount added automatically to passenger bills for Royal Caribbean will be $ 14.50 (formerly $ 13.50) for standard cabin categories and $ 17.50 (formerly $ 16.50) for suites. In turn, the new daily amount for Celebrity Cruises will be $ 14.50 (previously $ 13.50) per person per day for standard cabin categories, $ 15.00 (previously $ 14.00) for Concierge Class and AquaClass cabins and $ 18.00 (previously $ 17.00) for suites.

The last time Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises raised their tip in 2016, the increase was 55 cents.
