Carnival Cruise Line Receives CDC Approval To Operate From Miami, Galveston And Port Canaveral
Carnival Corporation received approval from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on May 28, 2021 to resume cruises from its key ports:
- Miami, Florida - the largest cruise terminal in the world;
- Port Canaveral (Fort Lauderdale), Florida;
And also from the Port of Galveston, Texas!
Cruises from these ports will be available in July!
It was only on Wednesday that we wrote that Biden had signed the cruise law.
Lars Ljoen, who is the executive vice president and chief naval officer of the Carnival Cruise Line, said: "These agreements bring us one step closer to sailing with our regular guests." “We appreciate the support not only from these three home port partners, but also from all of our home ports, who are committed to getting us back as soon as possible.”
The first liners of the Carnival Cruise Line fleet to resume cruises will be:
- Carnival Horizon (with Miami)
- Carnival Vista (with Galveston)
- Carnival Breeze (from Galveston).
Cruises from Port Canaveral will be announced by the cruise line shortly.
