The world continues to recover from quarantine restrictions. And even the most closed countries are opening up for tourism.

Australia is a country that has been closed for the entire time of quarantine... Even it has opened for tourists!

Since February 21, foreign vaccinated tourists have been allowed to enter Australia.

Upon arrival in Australia (New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory), vaccinated persons 12 years of age and older are not subject to quarantine.

Unvaccinated tourists are subject to a mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine upon arrival in Australia at their own expense.

Vaccination certificates must meet the following criteria:

-issued by a national or local authority (state/provincial authority) or an accredited vaccination provider,

- drawn up in English or accompanied by a certified translation,

- contain at least:

- surname and name indicated in the traveler's passport,

- date of birth or passport number,

- brand name of the vaccine and,

- the date of administration of each dose or the date on which the full course of immunization was performed.

Australia will accept both digital certificates and paper-based certificates.

A traveler is considered fully vaccinated if the certificate lists a vaccine approved or recognized by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). The currently approved and recognized vaccines and doses in Australia are:

- two doses administered at least 14 days apart:

• AstraZeneca Vaxzevria

• AstraZeneca Covishield

• Pfizer/Biontech Comirnaty

• Moderna Spikevax or Takeda

• Sinovac Coronaval

• Bharat Covaxin

• Novavax/Biocelect Nuvaxovid

or one dose:

-Janssen-Cilag COVID Vaccine

After a full vaccination, at least 7 days must pass.

Also, to travel to Australia, you will need to fill out an Australian travel declaration.
