Urgently! UK cancels visa-free transit!12.11.2022 08:59
For many years we have been able to visit the UK on a cruise and not have to go through the complicated and expensive UK visa process. This could be done as part of cruises in which the call to the UK port was no longer than 24 hours.
Unfortunately, due to the large number of tourists who went ashore and did not return, the UK Immigration and Border Protection were forced to cancel the transit.
From 11/12/2022, citizens of all countries who could visit the UK in transit will be forced to open a visa (List of countries see below).
What will happen to your cruise that includes the UK?:
1- All bookings, regardless of the port of embarkation, will be canceled (unless you have a UK visa). We will publish information about the refund procedure in the near future;
2- All citizens of the countries listed below, regardless of place of residence, from 11/12/2022 require a UK visa to visit this country (Including in transit);
3- Without a pre-opened UK visa, boarding will be denied;
4- All who are already on board cruise ships (without a UK visa) will be able to continue their cruise. But you will be denied exit at the port of Southampton or any other port in the UK.
