Luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises celebrated the launch of its new Silver Nova. But the official ceremony of handing over the liner to the fleet of the cruise company will take place in June.

The liner left the Meyer Werft construction shop in the German city of Papenburg on April 28, 2023. The event gathered not only many local residents, but also representatives of the cruise industry and tourism.

After the ship left the workshop, it was moved to the pier for several hours, where subsequent work will take place.

In memory of this important event and in keeping with shipbuilding traditions, Captain Cosimo Pontillo welded a special coin to the wall on the pool deck, which will remain visible to future guests of the ship as a symbol of good luck.

Silver Nova will be the 12th ship in the fleet of the leading luxury cruise line.

In the process of designing and building the liner, many innovative technologies were applied, which made the liner the most interesting in the UltraLuxury segment.
