Do you like to travel alone? Great news for you.04.10.2023 22:19
Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that it plans to introduce approximately 1,000 private cabins across its 19-ship fleet.

Starting this week, the company will open for the first time three new categories of single cabins, including Solo Inside, Solo Oceanview and Solo Balcony, for future sailings starting January 2, 2024. Prices and availability vary by destination and demand. Solo travelers can expect to pay less than a traditional double room, the company said.

“We are committed to providing our guests with a variety of offerings so they can create the vacation of their dreams,” said David J. Herrera, president of NCL. “Since we first launched our single cabins in 2010 on the Norwegian Epic, they have been extremely popular among solo travelers. We constantly listen to our guests to provide them with the experience they want. Recognizing the growing demand from people wanting to travel independently, we have expanded the number of single cabins across our fleet.”

Guests staying in the new single cabin categories will also have access to the key card-only Studio Lounge, available on select ships, which features a dedicated lounge area, a bar stocked with beer and wine, and a variety of snacks served daily .

In addition to their own lounge, solo cruisers can enjoy activities planned for solo travelers to socialize. With single cabin category capacity increasing from nine ships to a full fleet of 19 ships, solo cruisers have more opportunities to visit other destinations such as Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand on ships that were not designed to have this unique capability .

Norwegian Cruise Line said the announcement comes in response to the recent surge in popularity of solo travel in the travel industry, as more people choose to travel the world alone rather than traditional group travel with friends, family or partners.
