Oceania Riviera liner arrives in Asia for the first time!05.02.2024 21:14
Currently, Oceania Cruises' Riviera liner is completing its first season in the Southeast Asia region.
Following her debut crossing of the Suez Canal in December, Oceania Cruises now offers a series of itineraries to Southeast Asia, the Far East and the Indian Ocean.
After departing Mumbai on January 8, Riviera is currently offering a 20-day cruise to Singapore that includes ports in India, as well as calls to the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.
After her first cruise in Asia, the ship, built in 2012, plans to offer a one-way cruise departing from Singapore to Bangkok.
The one-way itinerary includes visits to Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
Continuing its first season in the region, Riviera is also set to offer itineraries to Myanmar, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China and more.
In total, the ship's local season for 1,260 visitors includes 25 unique itineraries lasting from ten to 82 days.
According to Oceania Cruises, the decision to move Riviera from its traditional winter Caribbean itineraries is in response to strong demand for remote and exotic destinations.
During the cruises, guests will have the opportunity to see the Great Wall of China, the Grand Palace of Bangkok, Halong Bay and the temples and gardens of Kyoto, as well as other attractions of Asia.
Itineraries also allow you to explore such remote locations as Ishigaki Island in Japan and the imperial city of Hue on the Perfume River in Vietnam.
Following a refit in late 2022, the Riviera will feature updated suites and cabins, as well as updated visitor areas.
Among the new features of the ship are updated bars and lounges, as well as improved social facilities and completely renovated dining facilities.
