On February 2, 2019, cruise line Holland America Line unveiled its new liner Nieuw Statendam.

 

The ceremony was held aboard the Nieuw Statendam at the World Stage Theater in Port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. According to all long-standing maritime traditions, the liner was dedicated by the movie star, the icon of television - Oprah Winfrey.

 

Following the inauguration, Holland America Line's new flagship cruise embarked on its seven-day Caribbean cruise. But from spring to autumn, the Nieuw Statendam will explore Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.
