The naming ceremony for Costa Venezia will take place in Trieste on 1 March 2019.

 

The vessel is currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone. This will be the largest ship in the Costa fleet in the Chinese market. A number of unique novelties await our customers. They have been specially designed for our Chinese guests in order to introduce them to the culture, style and cuisine of Italy. In particular, the ship's interiors were inspired by romantic Venice.

 

Ceremony

 

A festive program in honor of the name Costa Venezia will cover the entire city. Fireworks will be thundered on the Piazza Unità d'Italia square, and huge screens will be installed on which the opening ceremony will be broadcast.

About 2,000 guests from China, Korea, Japan and a number of European countries are expected at the event. They will have time to get to know Trieste and its surroundings, because the ship will be moored in the city until March 3, after which it will leave for its first cruise.
