Cruise ships in Bahrain's capital can dock at two locations:
at the Mina Salman pier closer to the city center. Small vessels usually land here. Some cruise routes even indicate Mina Salman instead of Manama.
Khalifa bin Salman Port (KBSP) has a cruise terminal with a Duty Free shop.
There is practically no tourist infrastructure in the port of Mina Salman, you can take a shuttle to the nearest office center.
From the port of Khalifa bin Salman Port is taken by shuttle to the market. In both cases, you can take a taxi at the end point. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes one way. Taxis require the meter to be turned on, otherwise the trip can be very expensive.
Besides the transfer, it is problematic to find any other transport in the port. There are public buses, but they are not recommended for tourists because it is difficult to find routes there.
One of the points of excursion routes is the King Fahd Causeway bridge, which connects Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, one of the longest in the world, its length is 28 kilometers, most of which are on reinforced concrete pillars entering the bottom of the Persian Gulf.
Bahrain National Museum, opened in December 1988, is the oldest museum in all of Bahrain and the Persian Gulf. The museum presents the historical, cultural and natural heritage of the people of Bahrain, acquaints visitors with folk traditions, classical representatives of flora and fauna. The National Museum is located near the Sheikh Hamad Causeway Bridge next to the Bahrain National Theater.
Bayt Al Qaran Complex. The amazing architectural ensemble is a complex of several buildings. The architectural composition includes a school in which many philosophers of the East received secular and theological education. The Bayt Al-Qaran Library invariably delights researchers of medieval oriental literature.
Al Jasra House is interesting in that the ruler of Bahrain, Emir Al-Khalifa, was born here. Today, Al Jasrah's house is a national treasure. The architectural solutions that were used in the construction of this building are a tribute to the eastern traditions and the original culture of the country.
Fort Riff, considered the most interesting attraction in Manama, is located closer to the outskirts. The Pearl Museum, opened in 2000 and will tell all about pearls and their natural features, mining and development of the pearl industry in Bahrain.
The museum is located in a two-story historic building in 1937, which was renovated, which also houses a music hall, a wedding hall and a courtroom.
