Dalt Vila. The highest and oldest part of the city of Ibiza is guarded by strong Renaissance fortifications built by Charles V in the 16th century. It is worth taking a short tour of the fortifications to check out the seven bastions, each with its own history.
Cathedral of Ibiza. At the very top of the old town is the cathedral, which sits next to a picturesque view of the water. Within a few minutes you can see the Gothic wonder of gold and silver dating from 1399 and Gothic panels from the 14th and 15th centuries inside.
Playa d'en Bossa. Ibiza's main resort is next to the longest beach on the island. On summer days, it is a hangout paradise. You can sleep under an umbrella at night while relaxing, quiet music from the beach DJs plays over the shore. After dark and before sunrise, the city center hosts parties at the two largest clubs in Ibiza - Ushuaia and Space right at the resort.
San Antonio. On the west coast of the island, Ibiza's second largest city was famous in the 80s and 90s. During the day, head to the bay for narrow sandy beaches lapped by crystal clear waters, or stroll along the promenade and stop somewhere for coffee along the way.
Talamanca beach. If you are looking for a more relaxing day at the beach, then another of the island's largest beaches is just a short walk from the marina. The landscape around Talamanca consists of small pine hills.
Lighthouse Punta des Moscarter. This part of the island has pine forest, farmland and coastline scattered across small resort villages surrounded by coves that cut deep into the coastline. Follow the cliff top trail from Portinatx to the lighthouse. It was built in the 70s and at 52 meters it is the tallest man-made structure on the island.
Cala Conta beach. Knowledgeable people rate this beach on the west coast of Ibiza as the best on the island. It is an 800-meter stretch of sand that surrounds the winding contours of the rocky coastline.
Aquarium Cap Blanc. Most likely, you have not seen such an aquarium before. The attraction is just minutes from San Antonio in a sea cave where local fishermen used to catch lobsters. Now children and adults can go underground to see all kinds of marine animals, including sea bass, rays, moray eels and turtles.
Equestrian valley. For families, Ibiza has some of the highlights of the major Mediterranean resorts, such as water parks and entertainment fairs. On the outskirts of Ibiza is the Equestrian Valley, a stable that organizes a number of excursions through the rugged northern part of the island.
