Khasab is a city in Oman, the capital of Musandam, an exclave separated from the rest of Oman (it is surrounded on all sides by the lands of the United Arab Emirates). El Khasab is a city built on the site of a 17th century Portuguese fortress. The name of the city translates as "fertile" - and despite the heat, nature in the city is very diverse. The port is located 4 km from the center of Khasab. A free shuttle will deliver passengers to the city in a few minutes. Near the port, there are taxis that will deliver anywhere in the city.
