Piraeus is the largest seaport in Greece and one of the largest ports in the Mediterranean. The port also serves the country's capital, Athens. It is the port of departure and entry to numerous Eastern Mediterranean routes to Italy, Greece and Turkey.

Archaeological Museum. Located right on the western coast of the Zean Gulf. It houses artifacts from Mycenaean times to the Roman period found throughout the city and along the coastline of Attica. Electric Railway Museum of Piraeus. Greek Maritime Museum - The harbor of Zea houses the largest maritime museum in Greece. It was founded in 1949 by prominent citizens of the city and naval officers. Zean Gulf. If you have some free time, you can walk from one side of the harbor entrance to the other under swaying palm fronds and with many interesting little things to look out for. Acropolis. It is the most historically important ancient site in the Western world. Crowned with the Parthenon, he stands guard over Athens and is visible from almost anywhere in the city. National Gardens. Tucked away in the heart of Athens, the National Gardens offer a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the concrete capital. This grand park was commissioned by Queen Amalia, the first queen of Greece, in 1838 and completed two years later. The gardens cover 16 hectares of narrow gravel paths and ponds, as well as a small zoo with wild Greek goats, peacocks and chickens.
 
Museum of Cycladic Art. A sumptuous museum with over 3000 artifacts of Cycladic, Ancient Greek and Cypriot origin, see slender marble figurines and distinctive statues that date back to the Bronze Age.
 
Temple of Olympian Zeus. The largest temple in Greece, located in the center of Athens. It impresses with its size. Of the 104 Corinthian columns 17 meters high, only a dozen and a half have survived.
 
Amphitheater Odeon of Herodes Atticus. This large amphitheater was built in 161 AD by the very wealthy Athenian Herod Atticus in memory of his wife Regilla. In 1857-1858. the amphitheater was excavated and completely restored in the 1950s. During the summer, it hosts drama, music and dance performances as part of the annual Athens Festival.
 
National Archaeological Museum. One of the most important museums in the world. The huge neoclassical building that it occupies houses the finest collection of historical treasures that provide an insight into Greek art from the Neolithic to the Classical, including the Ptolemy.
 
Temple of Hephaestus. Located on the western edge of the Ancient Agora, the temple of Hephaestus, god of fire and patron saint of blacksmiths, was once surrounded by foundries and locksmiths. Built in the 5th century. BC e. Iktinos, one of the architects of the Parthenon, it has 34 columns and a frieze on the east side, which depicts nine of the twelve labors of Hercules. The Temple of Hephaestus is one of the best preserved Doric temples in Greece.

Even if you manage to stay in Athens only for half a day, it is still worth seeing the main attractions - the Acropolis and the historic center of Plaka.

The Propylaea, the gateway to the Acropolis, is awe-inspiring for its grandeur, and the Parthenon is simply stunning, although there are other temples on the Acropolis, including the Erechtheion with its famous portico with caryatids and the Temple of Athena Nike. Below the Acropolis is the ancient theater of Herodes Atticus, still used today as an open-air concert hall. The Acropolis Hill offers a beautiful view of one of the oldest districts of Athens - Plaka and the ancient Greek Agora.

Excursion to Cape Sounio and Lake Vouliagmeni.
This is a journey to the southernmost point of Attica. Your way will run along the "Athenian Riviera" - fashionable coastal areas: Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza, and further along the scenic road along the coast of the Saronic Gulf.

From here, a wonderful view of the sea and the nearby islands opens up.

Trip to the Peloponnese Peninsula.
The legendary Argolis is the oldest center of civilization in Greece and Europe in general, located in the northeast of the Peloponnese. The way to Argolis runs along the coast of the Saronic Gulf, through the Corinth Canal, which is a unique place - the intersection of the Aegean and Ionian Seas, where we will stop for photographs.
Next, a tour of the ancient Epidaurus, famous for its perfectly preserved theater with unique acoustics, which hosts international festivals, as well as the sanctuary of the god of healing - Asclepius. In the Epidaurus Museum, in addition to classical statues, the attributes of medicine of the ancient Greeks have been preserved.
A short stop in the city of Nafplio - the first capital of independent Greece. The city was repeatedly conquered by the Franks, Byzantines, Turks and Venetians. The latter have left a strong mark on the appearance of the city, which with its elegance resembles the Mediterranean Italian cities. The city is famous for the Turkish fortress Palamidi and the small Venetian castle Burdzi. The last point of the program is the ancient Mycenae. The first Greek civilization arose here, which was called the Mycenaean. It was from here, from the palace of Agamemnon, that the army went on the Trojan campaign, and ancient myths, which turned out to be reality, brought Heinrich Schliemann to these hills at the end of the 19th century, who found Mycenae gold here. The famous Lion's Gate and royal tombs, the foundations of residential buildings and the mysterious treasury of Atreus - here you will breathe the air of history.
