Genoa Museums Provide Discount on Train Ticket06.02.2020 11:31
The municipality of Genoa and Trenitalia have signed an agreement, according to which you can get to the museums of the city at a discount if you have a train ticket. Tourists arriving in Genoa on the Trenitalia train (excluding Thello and Freccia) will now receive a discount.

For example, the discount is valid for the Strada Nuova museum complex, which includes the Red Palace, the White Palace and the Tursi Palace, where Paganini's violin is kept, for the Castello D'Albertis castle-museum, where a collection of household items from the sailing ship's captain's voyages is collected, for the park complex museum Nervi, where a collection of 20th century art is presented. There are 10 museums in total.

Thus, the municipality of the city decided to stimulate the interest of tourists in the city, who come here for weekends, festivals or just for vacation. Also, the promotion is beneficial for moving around Genoa itself if you come for a few days. The city stretches along the sea, and to get from district to district, it is convenient to take the train (the locals do just that). For example, buying a ticket from the main station Genova Piazza Principe to the Nervi park area for 1.30 EUR, you get a two-euro discount on a ticket to one of the museums in Nervi.
