New Muster 2.0 app from RCCI!29.07.2020 15:56
In the current realities of the pandemic, cruise companies are doing everything to safely resume cruises. New security protocols are being developed, the most modern technologies are being introduced, including the best air purification and filtration systems.
Today we present to your attention the Muster 2.0 application, from the cruise holding Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
Muster 2.0 is aimed at solving another problem associated with the congestion of passengers. This is the most unpleasant procedure on board - a drill. As part of this event, all guests of the liner had to gather at a predetermined place with their life jackets on an alarm signal. Next, the crew members were instructed on all aspects of safety on board the liner, as well as on the actions to be taken during an emergency.
The app was developed even before COVID-19, and the patent documents were filed on 09/12/2019. This means that this development was carried out long before the pandemic.
In fact, the app is designed in a relaxed, playful way. Text instructions are supplemented with video instructions, which makes the information easy to understand not only for adults, but also for children. And if you do not understand something or you still have questions, the application has a help button. By clicking on it, the responsible staff will contact you to answer all questions and provide qualified assistance.
Of course, there have always been tourists who ignored the drill and just let it go. In this case, the administration of the cruise liner acted differently, up to fines or certain bans. Now the application will automatically track all information about the status of the passage and execution of all actions and transfer information to the administration. But I am sure that there will be such tourists who will be too lazy to receive information even in the application))
But most importantly, this application solves the problem of large congestion of passengers in one place. Thus, along with other innovations, all the risks of coronavirus infection on board the ship are reduced to a minimum.
At the moment, it is announced that this new technology will be implemented on all cruise ships that are part of the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd holding: Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara, as well as TUI Cruises.
