US entry is closed to most foreign citizens!12.03.2020 16:08
In light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak in China, MSC Cruises has taken a series of global actions since January 24 to ensure the health and well-being of all guests and crew. As the situation continues to evolve, we continue to update and improve our precautions to protect everyone on board, as shown below.

CRUISES FROM THE USA FOR EUROPEAN GUESTS.

US entry is closed to most foreign nationals who have been in certain European countries at any time during the 14 days prior to their scheduled arrival in the US.

These countries include: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia. Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

This does not apply to lawful permanent residents, (usually) immediate family members of US citizens and others named in the proclamation. This restriction will take effect on March 13, 2020 and is expected to last for at least 30 days.

GUESTS FORCED TO CANCELLATE YOUR CRUISE:

• Guests will receive a voucher equal to the value of the canceled cruise, which will be used for any future sailing sailing before the end of 2021;

• Plus an onboard credit of € 100 per cabin for canceled cruises up to 6 nights and € 200 for cruises of 7 nights or more.

THE CRUISE COMPANY REFUSES LANDING TO ANYONE FROM HIGH-RISK AREAS:

• Anyone who has traveled to, from or through mainland China, Hong Kong, Iran, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, Macau, or Italy in the past 14 days (this includes transit flights within the aforementioned geographic regions. The same rules apply to fellow travelers ( parent, spouse, child, siblings or companion who lives in the same cabin);

• For the Caribbean only. Local authorities consider Japan a high-risk area. Therefore, anyone who has traveled to, from or through Japan within the last 14 days (including transit flights) will not be allowed on board the ships (currently MSC Meraviglia, MSC Divina, MSC Armonia, MSC Preziosa and MSC Seaside);

For all ships sailing to Miami, Beginning Saturday March 14th, we continue to improve our health measures as recommended by the Cruise Line Association and the U.S. government.

• All guests with severe chronic medical conditions (heart disease, diabetes, lung disease) as specified by the US CDC;

• All guests over 70 years of age at the time of boarding or turning 70 years of age during the cruise, unless they have provided written confirmation from their qualified healthcare provider that they are free of serious chronic illness and otherwise fit for the cruise.

• We started temperature testing of all ports

• We started weekly health screening of all crew members
