Norwegian Fjords and Northern Europe
The fjord is a rather narrow sea bay with rocky shores, which reaches a depth of more than 1000 meters. Fjords were formed as a result of the flooding of cracks in tectonic plates, as well as under the influence of the movement of glaciers. The more famous fjords are: Chilean, South Islands of New Zealand, North America, Greenland, Iceland and Scotland, but the fjords of Norway are rightfully considered the most beautiful.

The Norwegian Fjords are the most picturesque part of Northern Europe, which impresses everyone without exception. Undoubtedly, such high rocky shores are covered with dense greenery with many waterfalls, make an impression! In 2006, National Geographic compiled a ranking of the most popular UNESCO sites, in which the Norwegian Fjords took first place! Along the coast of Norway, thanks to the warm Gulf Stream, a fairly comfortable and mild climate is observed. Despite this, the best time to visit this region is from May to September.

In total, there are more than a thousand fjords in Norway, along which are located both large cities and small authentic villages, the appearance of which has been preserved since the Viking times. All fjords are a natural phenomenon and each of them has its own beauty, but the most famous and impressive are: Geirangerfjord (included in the UNESCO list), Narei Fjord (included in the UNESCO list), Sognefjord (The longest and deepest fjord Norway), Aurlandsfjord, Lysefjord, Trollfjord, Nordfjord, Romsdalsfjord, Hardangerfjord. Most of the fjords are decorated with waterfalls, the most famous of which are "Bridal Veil", "Seven Sisters", "Groom".

It is possible to visit Norway and see the fjords with your own eyes in different ways: individual tour by car, group tour by bus, bike tours, air tours. But, as has been proven many times, the most comfortable and impressive is the Norwegian Ford Cruise! It is impossible to imagine what kind of views open from the side of a cruise ship and how majestic nature can be. On one cruise, you can see some of the most beautiful and popular fjords in Norway, cities in Northern Europe, and other attractions.

The most popular ports of call for cruise liners include: Bergen, Norway; Geiranger, Norway; Alesun, Norway; Flåm, Norway; Hellesilt, Norway; Stavanger, Norway.

Cruise companies choose the best cities and ports to start with. When choosing, the key roles are played by the infrastructure of the city and the port, the city's attractions, as well as other factors that contribute to the most comfortable way to get to the port and board the liner. These ports include: Copenhagen, Denmark; Vernemünde, Germany; Hamburg, Germany; Kiel, Germany; Oslo, Norway; Southampton (London), UK; Dover (London), UK; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Rotterdam, Netherlands;
